For my (first ever!) photoshoot I wanted to learn how flexible I can get with my artist skills. We all want that one shoot where we try and put our skills to a test and this is what I’ve come up with.
The whole cat eye look seemed to be in and one artist or another always have their own respective ways of recreating this feline look.
I wanted to incorporate all bold natural features which for me was the statement arched eyebrows to intricate leopard eyes and daring ombré lips.
The darker colours -blacks/plum purples were used as a contour with a light yellow to orange highlight.
I enjoyed letting myself go (slightly… But could potentially do more damage) and being in touch with my inner creative part which I haven’t met in a very long time.
I hope you like this look just as much as I enjoyed creating it.
- Eyebrows: Filling in the eyebrow with Urban Decay’s ‘Black Dog’ then creating a crisp outline using Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner.
- Face: Mac Cosmetics Studio Fix foundation. Highlight the face with Sleek Sunset palette (yellow and orange) and contouring with Coastal scents 88 eye shadow palette with the matte purple shade.
- Eye shadows (on lid): Sleek Cosmetics Sunset Palette with Urban Decay’s Perversion pencil to waterline with Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner to create the leopard eyes! To add texture (which unfortunately you cannot appreciate from this photo) I applied Collection 2000 Funk gold glitter on top of the leopard prints – it was fab in reality!
- Lips: This was a tough one, to create a sharp crisp line. Mac cosmetics smoulder pencil eyeliner to line lips going over with Inglot AMC Gel eyeliner to intensify the black even more. The purple as mentioned from above is the costal scents matte purple shade to create dimension. Ben Nye Total Cover-All wheel was used to conceal and sharpen the lips.
